Scrubs season 10 spoilers: Judy Reyes will return as Carla

As we await the eventual arrival of the Scrubs season 10 revival, we are pleased to have more news to share about a key member of the ensemble.
According to a new report from Deadline, Judy Reyes is going to be coming back to the ABC comedy as Carla Espinosa in a recurring capacity. Given that she is a major part of a separate show in High Potential, it was never clear if she was going to be able to do both. These shows each air on the same network and because of that, schedules are probably easier to coordinate than they would otherwise be.

It is known already that the new version of Scrubs will feature many other stars including Zach Braff, Donald Faison, and Sarah Chalke. While some of the humor and whimsy of the original series is going to be here, at the same exact time JD, Turk, and Elliot will all be beaten down to some extent by the system. They are older and they’ve seen a whole lot more in life and in medicine. This is a great entry point for the franchise in general.
While original creator Bill Lawrence is very-much involved in the revival as an executive producer, he will not be the day-to-day showrunner. We do still have a ton of confidence that this series will be not just extremely funny, but meaningful at the same time. After all, this is a lot of what this series has been known for over the years. Hopefully, we have a chance to see it in midseason, whether that be winter or in the early spring. What matters is that it gets a lot of promotion and treated as it really should be.
