‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: The Bryden Vukasin – Desiree Hartsock mystery
If you want to start playing the “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?” theme song about “The Bachelorette,” you better start substituting her name for Bryden Vukasin. (This is probably going to mess with the meter of the song a little bit, but oh well.) Why’s that? Going into Monday’s episode, the man is the biggest mystery of all.
The reason for this basically stems back to last week, when he didn’t appear to be that happy to be in the competition in comparison to the other guys. Major red flag, no? At least it’s one that he may not be right for you.
Then, there is this picture from the group date. We know already that Chris Siegfried has the one-one-one date, and that Ben Scott and Michael Garofola are each given the two-on-one date in this episode. This means that we are not going to be seeing anything at all from Bryden during the dates this week, unusual for this point in the season. Either the man’s lurking around the German Alps out of the picture, or something very ominous happens to him.
No matter what it is, we just hope that it is interesting and somewhat dramatic as a way to spice things up on this season. We just haven’t been feeling it since the season began, especially compared to a great “Bachelorette” last year with Emily Maynard and Sean Lowe’s unpredictable season of “The Bachelor.” Part of it is the guys not having enough personality, and part of is also there simply not being enough fun moments that did not involve objectification of the guys.
Want more scoop on Monday night’s new episode? Then head over here, as you will see even more footage of one of the worst dates you can ever possibly go on.

This is BS! I can relate to Bryden completely. If a relationship isn’t nurtured, it will stagnate, wither, and die. And Des was very much aware of this. You will recall she took pains to nurture her relationship with Brooks.
After that first date with Des and no follow-up from her, the relationship with Bryden did exactly as it could have been expected to do … stagnate and die.
I further believe Bryden’s leaving the show did not come as a shock to Desiree; if in fact it wasn’t exactly what she wanted. She just didn’t want to be the one who took the blame for his leaving. He had told her the week before what he was feeling and thinking. She knew what was on his mind. She knew what she could have done to rectify the situation … BUT she chose to do nothing. She did not give him one more minute of time … one minute of nurturing … which was really all he needed. Any claim she makes to the effect she felt a real connection with Bryden is a bald-faced lie.
Further, any normal … repeat, NORMAL … man is going to have great difficulty forming deep feelings for a female who is still playing Backseat Bingo with multiple other men. And a genuine commitment is out of the question.
Bryden was the only grown mature man there. He was in complete control of
his emotions, and was the only man still thinking with a clear head. And he had
the stones to take action based on a valid assessment of his situation. Desiree
definitely lost serious points with me this week. It’s quite clear she isn’t looking for a grown flesh and blood man … she’s looking for a Prince Charming and a Cinderella lifestyle. She’s 27 going on 16!
I vote for Bryden to be the next Bachelor. The maturity he demonstrates is a
breath of fresh air for a show that has long gone stale.
