‘Mad Men’ season 6 finale spoilers: More words from Bob Benson
If you want to find out specific scoop about Sunday night’s “Mad Men” finale, we have two words for you: good luck. While most of the actors are at this point kind and generous enough to reflect on the season as a whole, few have been open about what is coming during Sunday night’s “In Care Of.” The reason is simple: Matthew Weiner would throw them down a flight of stairs faster than Pete’s personal life fell earlier on this season. Like with past seasons, this show has pulled off the rare feat of keeping almost everything a secret.
The closest thing that we have right now are actors choosing to merely be coy. Take, for example, what the man behind Bob Benson in James Wolk told The Huffington Post Canada about his role in the last episode, and the season:
“There have been so many rumours … There were the gay rumours [which ended up being true], the spy rumours. I will say nothing. He could be anything. We’ll find out. Or will we? I don’t know.”
Meanwhile, the woman behind Megan Draper in Jessica Pare has chosen to defer all questions about her character’s fate to Weiner, who handed down his only spoiler on the finale earlier this month by saying that contrary to internet speculation, no major character is getting killed off this season. He already did that last year with the dramatic death of Lane, and he is not a showrunner that likes to give you the same exact thing every season.
