‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3, ‘Wonderland’ spin-off Comic-Con panels get date

Once Upon a TimeIf you love TV, want to attend Comic-Con in San Diego, and can only visit for a day, Saturday is starting to look like a great day to choose based on all of the information we’re seeing this year. (Granted, you’ve probably already bought your tickets in advance this year, since you are otherwise not going to get much of a chance to do anything other than stand outside.)

Late this week, ABC announced that July 20 is going to be a rather significant date, given that you are going to see both “Once Upon a Time” and its spin-off series, “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland,” have panel discussions on the same day. While we know that there will be cast members joining Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz for each show, official names have not been announced. (We assume they will mostly be series regulars, with one or two key omissions.)

While some Comic-Con panels don’t really provide you much except for insight into how the show works, “Once Upon a Time” last year pretty much put a Mortal Kombat finishing move on the convention when they shared a short teaser (made specifically for the occasion) showing that Captain Hook was going to be coming to the show soon. It was a nice little moment for the fans, and it helped to reinforce that Kitsis and Horowitz are two of the more fan-friendly showrunners out there. (For more evidence of this, just look at how often Adam communicates with fans on Twitter.)
