2013 Daytime Emmy Awards: Where to watch / live stream red carpet show

Daytime EmmysSunday is turning out to be quite a great day when it comes to award shows and we’ll continue to be the best source for red carpet streams and winners lists. You have the MuchMusic Video Awards that are airing on the Canadian music channel, and in addition to that the Daytime Emmy Awards have a broadcast over on HLN.

Being that these awards are not the primary Emmys, and therefore do not get the same sort of buzz, it’s understandable that their place in the schedule can be somewhat confusing. However, that’s why we’re here to provide you a little bit of clarity.

Really, the best and only place to watch the show on TV this year is HLN, which is provided in most major cable / satellite packages. The show itself starts at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, and there is also a “Showbiz Tonight”-themed special from the red carpet showing off some fashion highlights.

For those of you wanting to watch online, the only option that is network-approved based on our research is to head over to the link here. There is a caveat for it in that you have to have the ability to watch HLN in your home in order to enter the necessary information to watch online. We only see this as a viable option for those of you who gave up your TV for the night so that your husband / boyfriend/dad could watch the NBA Finals on Father’s Day.

We wonder in the future just what the viability of this show will be, mostly because the main attraction here in daytime dramas are starting to die out. Even though “All My Children” and “One Life To Live” are each online now, they have been littered with various obstacles and are not really eligible for these awards at this time.

If you want to check out the full list of nominees for this year’s show, which includes everything from soaps to spin-offs to even news programs, all you have to do is click here.
