“Hawaii Five-0” really cannot get enough of casting former “Lost” stars for various spots. Just take a look at the list of people who have appeared thus far alongside series regular Daniel Dae Kim: Terry O’Quinn, Tania Raymonde and Reiko Aylesworth. We don’t care what island they are on as long as the “Lost” cast keeps coming back together.
So who’s the latest to join the fold? As the title tells you, it’s none other than Jorge Garcia. Entertainment Weekly claims that Garcia, best known for his role on Hurley on the ABC series, will appear in at least one episode of the CBS drama as a brilliant man drawn to conspiracies. He’s also set to have a substantial amount of screen time with Kim.
Since “Lost” wrapped, Garcia has taken in part to guest-starring work, having appeared on “How I Met Your Mother” and also multiple episodes of “Once Upon a Time” (from “Lost” alums Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz). He did also star on the short-lived Fox series “Alcatraz.”
As for why so many actors from “Lost” are coming onto this show, we’re pretty sure that there are two reasons why:
1. “Hawaii Five-0” producers know that “Lost” fans are devoted (even those who, in contrast to us, hated the ending), they assume that giving Kim some familiar faces will boost viewership.
2. Many “Lost” actors formed a natural connection to Hawaii, and Garcia in particular lived there for the years that the show was on the air and was said to have absolutely loved that time in his life. Why not take an opportunity to go back?
