‘True Blood’ season 6 spoilers: Deborah Ann Woll teases Jessica’s story

JessicaIt’s another season of “True Blood,” and we’re left with yet another emotional journey for one Jessica Hamby. She is one of the more interesting characters on the series, if for no other reason than that she is the common link between the show’s vampires, and some of the viewers at home.

What do we mean by that? Basically, that we watched her become a vampire back in the very first season, so we have seen every step of her maturation from bratty 17-year old girl to at times bloodthirsty vampire. She’s also had some romances with Hoyt and more recently Jason, but things weren’t looking good for the future of her romantic life at the end of the season 5 finale.

So where will the story end up going from here? In a new interview (per CBS News), Deborah Ann Woll explains that this year could be one of her characters’ biggest tests yet, mostly because she has to determine whether or not she is really prepared for her future, or is more destined to just go through the same mistakes of her past:

“Even though she’ll be 17 forever, time is what matures us. She certainly has a lifetime of experience in the last season. Yes, I think that she’s evolving. I think that this season — while there’s definitely still that youthful — I like to think of Jessica as irrepressible, that you can’t really get her down. These terrible things happen, she does terrible things, she feels horrible about them, but somehow she’s able to rally her spirits and start again. I find that to be a really admirable quality. I think [in] this season that comes off in a big way. She’s gonna be really tested to see if she is mature enough to pick up the pieces and start again because every season she seems to be alone and looking for someone to be there for her and we’ll see who it is.”

We already know that there are also some terrible things coming up this season, whether you are talking about a shocking death, the vampire responsible for killing Sookie’s parents still on the loose, or Jessica’s own vampire mentor in Billith being turned into a crazy religious icon-of-sorts.

There are also some returning faces for “True Blood” season 6, and if you want to find out some more news on them, our best piece of advice is to head on over to the link here.
