Jerry Seinfeld gets ‘Coffee’ with David Letterman, Sarah Silverman, and more

Comedians in Cars Getting CoffeeWhile Jerry Seinfeld may not be returning to TV full-time anytime soon, he has managed to do something that we’re sure comedy nerds out there will love: Sit down to have more random conversations with people that he is close friends with, while getting a cup of coffee (otherwise known as the nectar of the gods) in the process.

Yes, we’re talking about Seinfeld’s popular web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” which is rather ridiculous in some ways. First, Seinfeld impresses everyone with how incredibly rich he is by showing up every week in some ridiculously expensive sports car. Then, he terrifies them by driving at a high speed. Finally, the two sit down and have a cup of coffee together while talking about anything and everything. It’s basically a video version of a podcast, except shorter and in video form.

In the season 2 teaser below, you can see that such people as Seth Meyers, David Letterman, and Chris Rock are all going to be turning up on the show at some point. However, the entire first episode focuses on one person in particular: Comedienne Sarah Silverman, who keeps up her habit of being both incredibly funny and filthy at the same time.

One of the cool things about this series is that thanks to the mere fact that Seinfeld is hosting it, there really are no limitations at all when it comes to the sort of people that he can bring in. Who wouldn’t want to go to coffee with one of the most-successful comedians ever? It seems to be a very easy pitch to sell people on, and then the show itself is lighthearted and fun.

Plus, it’s summer, and this web series may help to fill the void for some of your other favorite shows. New episodes will be coming every Thursday for the next six weeks. If you want to see some more web series you should be checking out this summer, be sure to head on over to the link here.
