If you are excited for “The Originals,” you’re far from the only one. As one of the only new series this fall that the majority of its viewers have already seen, there are some pretty substantial expectations. How much? Let’s just say that they are through the roof, even if viewers screamed “no” at the pregnancy shocker that came out via the “Vampire Diaries” episode that served as the backdoor pilot.
Sadly, we don’t quite imagine that this new photo (released by The CW on Facebook) is really going to give too much away at all about the story. After all, it focuses instead on Joseph Morgan’s character sitting down and holding a skull. When does Klaus ever actually do that? The answer is “never,” but we do love the almost-meta feeling of seeing someone professionally take a photo of someone else taking a photo.
So when are we actually going to find out a little bit more about Klaus and the first family of vampires’ various adventures in New Orleans? We’re going to be waiting for at least a little while, given that the show doesn’t start filming in Atlanta until July. (Yep, Atlanta … sorry, fans of the City of New Orleans as a primary filming location.) The biggest reason for the change is to encourage as many separate crossovers as humanly possible between this show and the flagship CW hit, which is entering its fifth season this fall.
In speaking about “The Vampire Diaries,” we would be remiss if we were not to talk about one of the biggest topics of conversation on our mind. If you want to check out our debate as to whether or not “The Vampire Diaries” still has a long life ahead for it, the best way to do so is to head over to the link here.
