‘Mad Men’ season 7 spoilers: Jessica Pare addresses future, Megan Draper theories

We already know that “Mad Men” is going to be back for a seventh season in 2014, but is Megan Draper going to be back for it? This is a topic of conversation that has spiraled out of control over the past few weeks for a number of reasons. First, there was the t-shirt that made many people feel as though she was really just Sharon Tate; then, there was also the crazy theory that perhaps she is already dead, and therefore just a figment of Don Draper’s imagination in the wake of what happened in “A Tale of Two Cities.”

So what does Jessica Pare think about all of this? In her mind, the conversation is just fun and one of the positive things that comes with being an actress on a show most people love. This is why she had the following to say on the matter in a new interview with Esquire:

“I think that one of the greatest things about being on this show is that people love to talk about the characters. For me as an actor, it’s absolutely so thrilling to hear anybody talk about the character that I play. [Laughs.] In terms of whether that’s going to happen or not … I just want to say, I don’t know.”

If Megan is in fact dead by the end of this season, she is definitely doing a great job right now at keeping it a secret and not spilling any details. There are only a few episodes left, so if the “dead Megan” theory turns out to be true, then we are going to be finding out soon enough.

Pare  was also coy about her future on the show’s seventh season, but if she manages to survive, we have a feeling that she will be a part of it in some shape or form.
