‘American Idol’ finalists Kree Harrison, Angie Miller, Candice Glover at Disney World
Is it still a little surprising that “American Idol” and Disney World have a little bit of a partnership? Definitely, especially when you consider that the two are owned by very different parent companies. Even in spite of that the partnership continued this Labor Day Weekend, as the final five contestants this season (otherwise known as all of the ladies) had the opportunity to visit one of the happiest places on earth.
So what happened there? Basically, a great deal of fun. Angie Miller posted some photos on Instagram alongside some classic Disney characters (and some “Star Wars” ones, given a certain recent purchase by the company), and she and Kree Harrison also went on a few of the rides.
So where was Candice Glover? The winner of season 12 arrived on Monday after performing at the PBS Memorial Day from Washington DC the day before, but she showed up Monday to fulfill her promotional duties at the American Idol Experience. This is one of the ways that contestants profit from their time on the show, and Candice also gets an opportunity to meet more fans prior to the release of her debut album “Music Speaks” next month. She and ten of the other contestants from this season (including Aubrey Cleland, who you may not even remember) are also getting ready for their tour to start next month.
For those curious, Candice has also changed her Twitter account to @CandiceGlover, which no longer has any sort of attachment to the show at all. Meanwhile, most of the other contestants from this season are still going by their old names.
In case you missed Candice’s performance yesterday, you can see videos from it (which also feature Jessica Sanchez) over at the link here.

So Candice dropped the AI12 from her twitter name? Gee, her divorce from American Idol was almost as quick as her single dropping off the top 100 chart on ITunes.

Whoo, time sure flies by, we’re already into LABOR DAY!! Gee this summer just flew by, it seems like the finale was only a week ago or so. Have a great Halloween. I love seeing and hearing Angie perform. Her live performance of “You Set Me Free” was one of the best I have ever seen on Idol in all 12 seasons.
