‘Britain’s Got Talent’ top 45: Arixsandra Libantino, Attraction, Aliki make semifinals
While the end of “Britain’s Got Talent” Sunday night did a great job at showing off some emotion from the contestants lucky enough to make it into the top 45, we cannot exactly sit here and say that they were equally excellent when it came to actually letting us know all of the acts that ended up making it to the live stage of the competition.
This is where this story comes into play. We have for you the full list of people making it through, and we’ve tried to include at least a tiny blurb about each one of them in case their names don’t immediately bring to mind who they actually are.
Bosom Buddies – Drag / opera act.
Jack and Cormac – Young vocal duo.
Freelusion – High-tech performance dance troupe.
Chasing the Dream – Musical performance.
MCBoy – This year’s incarnation of the “where me keys, where me phone?” guy.
Aaron Crow – Crazy guy who blindfolds himself and uses a sword.
MCKNASTY – DJ / drummer, brother of Labrinth.
Gabz Gardiner – 14-year old pianist / singer.
Aliki – Singer with inspirational story.
CEO Dancers – Female dance trio.
The Band of Voices – The most literal name ever.
Poppin’ Ron – A guy named Ron who is a popper. Almost as obvious.
Meat Diva – Cheesy duo karaoke act.
Joseph Hall – Broadway-style dancer.
Rosie O’Sullivan – Singer.
Modupe – Young singer / guitarist.
Youth Creation – Young dance crew.
Steve Hewlett – Ventriloquist.
Maarty Broekman – Guy who looks lost in 1982.
Martin Healy – Seriously, the guy who danced around with a fake nun on a stick.
Rob & Craig – Otherwise known as the dueling pianos guys.
Club Town Freaks – Funny costumes, but we’re still not sure what they do.
Pre Skool – Dance group.
Shockarellas – Another dance group.
James More – Magic act.
J-Unity – Band that needs to change their name.
MD – Dance act with ties to the past.
Alex Keirl – Singer.
Robbie Kennedy – Singer / guitarist with historical name.
The Glambassadors – This year’s version of the Showbears.
Arixsandra Libantino – Big-voiced young singer and judges’ favorite.
Jack Carroll – Young comedian.
Stevie Pink – Colorful musician.
Thomas Bounce – Young juggler.
Jordan O’Keefe – Singer / guitar player, quite possibly sixth member of One Direction.
Phillip Green – Impressionist / comedian.
Martin & Marielle – Dance duo.
Francine Lewis – Impressionist / comedienne.
AJ & Chloe – Another dance duo.
Incognito – Gospel singers.
Alice Fredenham – Singer.
Richard & Adam – Singing duo.
Luminites – Street band.
Asanda – Young singer.
Attraction – Shadow theater group.
Overall, it’s a pretty strong list, and one that feels far better than ones we’ve seen on past seasons. There are people in here with no shot whatsoever (guy with the nun, we’re looking at you), but we also don’t know if there is a universal favorite.
