‘Royal Pains’ season 5 spoilers: Highlights from the new trailer

If you’ve been frustrated by some of the scoop-free promos released by USA for season 5 of “Royal Pains,” consider what we have for you now to be a handy life preserver.

The new trailer straight from the network actually has quite a bit of new footage that you have not seen before, and it gives you some insight as to what the June 12 premiere will bring. For one, we will at least see some footage of Hank’s recovery in the hospital after he fell ill immediately following Evan and Paige’s wedding, and how he will continue to be the worst doctor ever when it comes to treating himself. Rather than actually allowing himself to recover, he becomes the medicinal version of the Black Knight from the “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.” Is anyone actually going to be able to slow him down before he’s at a position where he cannot function? That is what remains to be seen.

As for some other interesting story bits in here, Paige and Evan are fighting about something when it comes to their future, at least one character is going to show up sporting an absolutely enormous beard, and there could be a new threat that serves to potentially shut down HankMed once and for all on some sort of municipal code technicality. (Wait, who actually wants to shut down an organization bent on helping rich hypochondriacs and keeping them out of the hospital? We totally don’t get that one.)
