‘Bones’ season 9 spoilers: Series boss promises big event for Booth, Brennan
Yes, we know that the wait until “Bones” season 9 is a long one, but doesn’t having at least a few more details help to make the wait a little less painful? We like to think so, and thus we are here with some more scoop on the Fox hit courtesy of executive producer Stephen Nathan.
In this particular story, what we are excited to share more than anything is what comes next when it comes to the journey of Booth and Brennan. By this time, we hope that you have been able to pick yourself back up off the floor after the way in which the engagement “ended” for the time being, but there is still hope. After all, Nathan explained to TV Guide that we may not be looking for sure at a situation where the writers force us to wait until the series finale to see Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz’s characters tie the knot:
“If we lived in a predictable universe, that’s exactly what would happen. But we’re not a predictable show … [While it may not for sure be a wedding], there will be one huge event [that brings people together]. And I mean the whole family — including Brennan’s father, Max, and Booth’s mother, brother, son and grandfather.”
Considering that Booth’s mother is mentioned here, in spite of the horrible past he has with her, we have to assume that this is a pretty big deal. As for if it is a wedding, we think that there’s that whole issue of Pelant threatening to do horrible things to people Booth loves that could hold him back … at least for now.
So could season 9 itself be the end? There’s a discussion already going on when it comes to that, but we’d love to see it hit the magic number of 10.

I would love for Bones to continue even past 10. Not many shows anymore that are interesting without being totally immoral.

If the writers et al can keep it as real and as good as season 8 was over all (after some really painful seasons before) I am all for a magic season #10.
