NBC’s ‘The Office’ season 9 spoilers: One disheveled Angela

For much of the time that we have seen Angela Martin on “The Office,” the character has done her best to give off the impression that she is a woman that is as uptight and put-together as possible. She has her cats, her religious beliefs, and cleanly-pressed clothing that she wears to work every day.

So what in the world possibly inspires her to look the way she does in the photo here? The image comes to us from this week’s episode, which is clearly trying to suggest that she is having a very difficult time moving on from the end of her relationship with the Senator and into the life of a single mom. She has multiple cats and a child in a tiny apartment, and the wear and tear is clearly taking its toll on her.

But will someone be her savior? This is surely where things will get polarizing. In some ways, seeing Angela finally accept help from someone like Dwight would be a watershed moment for the character, mostly because she has spent so much of her life shunning anyone who ever tried to get close to her. On the flip side, we would also like to see Dwight have to win back a confident Angela. It’s possible that we could still get both of these moments, and what we’re really learning here above all else is that it may be unfair to speculate on anything based merely on a photo.

After this episode there are only a few left, so in other words we will find out answers to all of our questions pertaining to Angela and others soon enough.
