On Thursday night’s new “Vampire Diaries” season 4 episode “She’s Come Undone,” we are going to have a little bit of an opportunity to see what unfolds when Elena is completely trapped courtesy of Stefan and Damon Salvatore. They want to find a way to get her humanity switch back on, and thus are willing to go to some pretty crazy extremes in order to make it happen … including bringing in someone who Elena has had plenty of clashes with in the past.
According to a report from Zap2It, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley’s characters are going to actually call in Katherine, who may be one of the few people out there (save for Klaus, who has been preoccupied as of late) capable of actually being able to drive some fear into her heart. We have learned already that this emotion is a powerful trigger for her, and the only way to potentially bring her back permanently could be by repeatedly bringing this to the surface time and time again. It’s not going to be easy, and Elena may resent the Salvatores for it at first, but it’s her only real shot for happiness down the road as an actual functioning vampire with emotions. (Or, possibly a human again given that the cure is still out there.)
Do you think that Katherine could actually be the one to ironically save her doppelganger from completing going off the rails? Just in case you have missed some of our scoop so far about the end to “The Vampire Diaries” season 4, be sure to check out the story over at the link here.
