‘The X Factor’ USA / UK notes: Carly Rose Sonenclar, Tate Stevens, Cheryl Cole

The X Factor LogoNow that we’ve found out the news about the future for Mario Lopez (and the end of Khloe Kardashian) on “The X Factor,” let’s move on to some of our standard notes, which, to use a musical pun, should strike a chord with some of you out there.

We begin with Carly Rose Sonenclar, who uploaded a new video on her WhoSay page today thanking everyone for their 14th birthday wishes. Even though she actually celebrated the occasion over the weekend, it seems here almost as though she still has presents left to open.

Carly is set to have a busy year of events ahead for her, as she tries to balance out the perfect storm of performing, studying, and recording while also taking time out to be a teenager.

Tate’s album is out! – For those of you country fans out there, Tate Stevens’ self-titled debut album is now in stores and on iTunes. Even if you’re not much of a Tate fan, this should be an exciting opportunity to get to see a little bit of how well an “X Factor” album can sell in the marketplace, since no one from season 1 has yet to release a major-label, full-length album (which may be an indictment on the way Simon Cowell and company handled that crop of contestants).

If you did miss our exclusive interview with Tate over the weekend, which included some behind-the-scenes goodness about “The X Factor,” be sure to check it out.

Now, a trip from “Britain’s Got Talent” – Just in case you like seeing former judge Cheryl Cole being roasted, this is the place for you. “Britain’s Got Talent” contestant Francine Lewis impersonated her on this past weekend’s show, and she also joked to reporters afterwards that she could do just as good of a job as Cheryl on the show:

“Definitely. I think that’s a great suggestion. I don’t look like her, I haven’t got the dimples, but yes, I could be as good as [her].”

After watching this video, let’s just hope that Cheryl has a good sense of humor about herself.
