‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 spoilers: The newest rumored addition

Is there an addition to report now for “The Walking Dead” season 4? It’s probably a little too early to say for sure as we are waiting for official verification on this, but we’ll go ahead and just say what is floating around out there.

The website iDigitalTimes.com is reporting that “The Wire” alum Lawrence Gilliard Jr. is in talks to take on the role of “Roy Stark” in the upcoming season. There as been plenty of speculation as to whether Roy is just a code name for Abraham or someone else from the Robert Kirkman comic, or we are looking at a completely new character here. The key words are of course “in talks,” meaning that even if there are discussions going on, there is no guarantee that the actor will end up landing the role.

Considering that filming is starting up on the new season in a matter of weeks, the time-frame is correct for there to be some sort of casting announcement soon, especially since the Roy Stark role is going to be a series regular position. Hopefully, we’ll have a little bit more to report here in the weeks ahead, as we near the start of production actually kicking off in Atlanta.

Once we have verification on this story and the casting, we’ll be sure to post it in the article here. There are also some other new characters that are to be cast, though none of them have received the same attention as this one.
