‘Mad Men’ season 6: Elisabeth Moss lands ‘The Simpsons’ guest spot
The folks over at “The Simpsons” must be some pretty big fans of “Mad Men.” Jon Hamm and John Slattery have already guest-starred on the show, and we also now know that Elisabeth Moss (otherwise known as Peggy Olson) is going to be entering the fray very soon for a guest spot.
According to a brand-new report from Vulture, Moss will play the part of Gretchen on an episode of the long-running animated comedy that airs in the fall. So what’s the significance of this part? We’ll let executive producer Al Jean explain that one:
“She’ll play a character stuck in an elevator who gives birth to a baby. She names it Homer, Jr.”
Ultimately, it’s pretty easy to be excited about this one. Just based on the description alone, this character could not be any more different from what we see from Moss on “Mad Men,” and the idea of Homer being put in a situation where he actually has to help someone is always entertaining.
On “Mad Men” season 6 so far, Elisabeth’s character of Peggy Olson has been in a pretty interesting place. While has a new-found sense of power courtesy of her position at a rival advertising firm to Don Draper, she is also dealing with the fact that she does not exactly have a ton of friends at present in the office environment. Not only that, but she may have to orchestrate some pretty shady deals soon in order to get herself an advantage over some others that she has long considered to be her friends.
