‘Big Brother Canada’ live feed spoilers: Someone pleads their case

After watching a number of players this season leave “Big Brother Canada” without really putting up much of a fight at all, we’re at least pleased to see that someone is genuinely trying their best to find a way at staying in the house for a little while longer.

Of course, it should not come as much of a surprise that this said person is Alec. He has long been known as a schemer in this game, and his current strategy at sticking around is an interesting and somewhat-compelling one: trying to convince Andrew that he needs someone like him to help go after both Emmett and Jillian. On some level, he’s right: Alec is probably a better competitor overall than Topaz, and he could cause a greater dent in “Jemmett’s” game long-term. If Alec does stay, Andrew would likely be able to skate by while the Shield and the showmance cannibalize each other. Meanwhile, in keeping Topaz he suddenly becomes the most-threatening person in the game save for Jillian and Emmett.

But is this really a smart move? The issue in voting to keep Alec is that you would still need either Jillian or Emmett’s support to make it happen, and then, you’re faced with two pairs left in the game, in addition to your own. While we think keeping Alec almost guarantees Andrew and Talla a spot past the double-eviction Thursday night, do you really want to be playing strong competitors in the final four / five Head of Household Competition?
