‘The Carrie Diaries’ finale spoilers: Who’s sharing a kiss?

At the moment, we really don’t know whether or not “The Carrie Diaries” is coming back for a second season, and it’s not looking good; so with that in mind, can we just stop and enjoy Monday night’s finale for what it is? Hopefully, the writers have put together an hour that gives fans the answers to many of their questions, and leaves the door open just enough for more storytelling if The CW series does manage to pull off a miracle.

One thing that we can say for sure that you will be seeing in this episode? A kiss! As the photo to the left (via Entertainment Weekly) clearly shows, we will be seeing Walt locking lips with none other with Bennet at some point. It’s a bold moment, especially when you consider the time period that the show is set, and actor Brendan Dooling does his best to explain this moment to the publication:

“Walt is coming into his own … He takes a very big step, a big leap in a direction he’s never gone before. He’s taking the bull by the horns. Instead of things happening to him and trying to figure them out, he’s in a position where he’s trying to assert himself.”

Just in case there is a second season coming up down the pipeline, Dooling also says that both he and Carrie Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Robb) are going to be in a rather interesting place within the city of New York:

“He’s learning now that the city is a very big possibility that he doesn’t have to live in this introverted shell that he was in Castlebury … As things transpire throughout the episode and people start learning more and more, he finally realizes that this is the direction his life is going and he takes that first step.”
