It’s no secret to anyone that “The Office” is ending in just a matter of a month and a half, but we are pleased to see that the show is doing everything in its power along the way to make sure that it goes out with a bang … especially when it comes to casting some big-name guest stars.
With that in mind, we present to you here the first look at none other than sitcom legend Roseanne Barr, who is going to be appearing in the April episode “Stairmageddon” as a woman named Carla Fern who Andy Bernard approaches with a serious plight: he wants to be a music star. We’re not quite sure how well this will work for the guy, especially considering that his music tends to irritate people far more than they end up enjoying it, but you have to give the guy at least an ounce of credit for trying.
It’s almost surprising that someone of Roseanne’s magnitude has not come on the show already, and we hope that her appearance here is used somehow in order to help Andy realize what it is that he wants to do with his life moving forward. It’s been a confusing mess for him really ever since he learned that his parents were losing just about everything, and he no longer had the wealthy status to fall back on while also reminding himself of his myriad of failures. With his Cornell education, he obvious expects more out of himself than doing a pretty bad job managing a paper company.
