‘The Walking Dead’ season 3 finale spoilers: Is Rick moving the group out of the prison?

Andrew LincolnLast night’s episode of “The Walking Dead” season 3 was pretty epic, so if you haven’t seen it yet we warn you to stop reading now, because we will be discussing some of the shocking events that unfolded.

The Governor was barely in last night’s episode, but the scene he was in was fairly terrifying and led to one of the most heartbreaking moments this season.  No one really ever liked Merle, and he’s done some pretty terrible things to say the least, including kidnapping Michonne with the intention of giving her to the Governor in order to help keep peace at the prison for Rick and the group, but in the end he let her go.  Merle realized that although the Governor had helped him out of some pretty rough situations, he also put him in the worst situation he has ever been in – pitted against his brother Daryl in a fight to the death.  He decided it was time to face the Governor and try to put an end to him, but as valiant of an effort as Merle put in, he just wasn’t destined to make it out alive. By the time Daryl reached Merle, he was a walker and we watched Daryl’s heart being ripped out as he had to put him down.

With only one episode left of “The Walking Dead”, we still have a lot of loose ends to tie up, so we suspect that there will be a major cliffhanger left by the end to give us something to think about while we wait for “The Walking Dead” season 4 to come around. What’s going to happen to Andrea who’s in the infamous torture room inhabited by Michonne in the comics?  Will the Governor’s attack on the prison end Rick and the group’s stay at their safe house? And ultimately everyone wants to know who else is going to die before the final credits roll?

In a new sneak peek for “The Walking Dead” season 3 finale, we see Carl reminiscing about his family and what life was like before the walkers took over the earth as he packs up his things.  Looks like Rick and company have decided to leave the prison and move on, but will they get out in time before the Governor shows up? In a second sneak peek for the season 3 finale, the Governor and his army storm the prison hoping to wipe everyone out and take whatever provisions they can find ( you can check out these previews below).

“The Walking Dead” season 3 finale airs on Sunday, March, 31st at 9 p.m. on AMC, so be sure to tune in and see if Rick and the group get out of this situation with the Governor alive.  If you missed last night’s episode and you want to know what happened then check out our review of the episode here.
