‘Bones’ season 8 spoilers: ‘General Hospital’ favorite to appear

Is the world of “Bones” about to collide with one made famous in “Magic Mike”? While we don’t have a definitive answer to that just yet, it appears as though we are going to dip at least one toe into the water of exotic dancing … strange as that sounds for primetime TV.

According to Soap Opera Digest, Brandon Barash, who recently announced that he will be leaving “General Hospital” after a six-year stint as Johnny, is going to be appearing in an episode airing on April 15 as a male stripper who is rather good at his job, but is also facing some of the complications that inevitably come when getting older in this profession. In the context of the story, he will have served as some sort of mentor to whoever is going to be the victim during the episode. (With this in mind, is he almost immediately labeled as some sort of suspect?)

It will be during this same episode that we see Joanna Cassidy play a part as Booth’s mother, as strange as it sounds to say that we are going to be seeing a mother of any character in an episode where there are such “dancers” involved. This should make for a pretty fun hour of TV, and it is also coming at the right time. After all, in following this up the show will need to take itself a little bit more seriously as it nears the end of the season … which always comes with some cliffhangers and shocking revelations.
