‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4: Nina Dobrev takes a break with Julianne Hough

When you are on a show like “The Vampire Diaries” that can be very time-consuming, you really have to put together breaks wherever you can. For Nina Dobrev, one of these opportunities came courtesy of the show filming the backdoor pilot for “The Originals” this week in New Orleans, which freed her up to spend a little bit of time with some of her friends away from the show. Not only that, but she was able to be there for a good friend in need.

Dobrev was spotted in a new post on Instagram this weekend from former “Dancing with the Stars” pro-turned actress Julianne Hough, who recently split from her boyfriend of the past two years in Ryan Seacrest. The image features the two along with some of their other friends at the beach, with the caption being “#friendsarethebesttherapy.” This is the first and only time that Hough has really acknowledged the split at all since the news first broke late Friday night. (It also comes a few days after $100,000 of jewelry from Seacrest was reportedly stolen out of her car.)

Filming is still going on for “The Vampire Diaries” season 4, but it will end as per usual in April until the series picks up season 5 production in the summer (which is typically the week prior to Comic-Con in San Diego). Given that the show films in Atlanta, it does make it a little bit more difficult for Nina to spend time with some of her friends. Therefore, she has to take advantage of every opportunity given to her.
