‘Dexter’ season 8: New photos of Jennifer Carpenter, Desmond Harrington
While you are going to have a very difficult time trying to figure out what happens on “Dexter” season 8 prior to the show’s premiere on Showtime June 30, Jennifer Carpenter is at least being kind enough to share a few shows from the show’s set.
For the first picture, we have a look at the actress alongside someone both old and new: longtime series regular Desmond Harrington and Sean Patrick Flanery, who is playing the part of a mysterious new private investigator. Flanery complicated the two as “super cool people” in a post on his Twitter account, and it’s nice to see that everyone has already developed a strong bond with each other despite Flanery only being on the set at this point for a matter of weeks. (There’s no word on if his arc is for the entire season, or if he will dip out midway through.)
As for our other shot, it focuses solely on Carpenter and Harrington, and the actress also attached the rather hilarious caption below for good measure:

Could we see these two characters get together again in the new season? Ultimately, we doubt it. Quinn seemed to develop an interest in Jamie Batistia at the end of season 7, and Deb may simply be too emotionally damaged right now to handle something like dating; after all, she did just shoot her former boss in LaGuerta and that has to have a recovery period.
