‘The Bachelor’: Jef Holm, Arie Luyendyk Jr. wish Sean Lowe, Catherine Giudici well

Unless your name is Tierra LiCausi and you are really “not there to make friends,” it is fairly hard to be a part of a show like “The Bachelor” and not come away with it with some sort of new relationships with some of the other people on the show. Even if you are effectively there to compete with some other people for the heart of a man (or in the case of “The Bachelorette,” a woman), you spend far more time over the course of a season with your fellow contestants than you do with the person you are hoping to marry at the end of the day.

With this in mind, should it really come as much of a surprise at all that both Jef Holm and Arie Luyendyk Jr. are saying such nice things about their fellow former “Bachelorette” contestant Sean Lowe following his engagement to Catherine Giudici? It shouldn’t at all, but it is still rather refreshing and nice to see.

Let’s start with Jef, who explained in a post on his Sulia page just what it was like for Catherine to be in the position of not knowing for sure what was going to happen in the final two, only to be moments later engaged to the person that you love:

“I couldn’t be more excited for Sean & Catherine to start their life together. I remember like it was yesterday sitting in that same seat, it was so exciting to finally let everyone in on the big secret … Sean is a great guy… I can’t wait to meet Catherine & see them together!”

Things obviously did not work out as well for Jef and Emily Maynard, as they were split a mere matter of months after the “After the Final Rose” special ended. However, things seem to be looking up for Sean and Catherine based on the fact that they are already planning a wedding, and expect it to happen reasonably soon.

Meanwhile, Arie shared his thoughts on the couple in a new post on his Hollywood.com blog:

“I always knew he and Catherine shared a bond that was playful and unique. It was not until tonight that Sean could really reveal his true feelings, that I saw how much deep love he had for her. I have always told everyone how sincere and genuine a person he is and last night I was taken aback by how confident he was in their love for each other. I’m so happy for them!”
