TNT’s ‘Dallas’ season 2 review: The Pam [spoiler] during J.R. Ewing’s funeral
Not only that, but there was a massive shocker in the closing minutes that sets the stage for the remainder of the season: Pam may or may not actually still be alive. The character, played for so many years by Victoria Principal prior her being wrapped up in bandages and getting a new face, supposedly only had a few months to live back in the days of the original series. How can she still be alive now? All we know is that J.R. Ewing was looking into something pertaining to her in Mexico at the time of her death, and there was clearly something there that was a part of his supposed “masterpiece.”
The rest of the season will clearly be interesting as Christopher, Bobby, and John Ross all try to figure out what they want to do with this. We already know that Principal will not be returning for another go as the character, so if Pam does show up, she will be played by someone different.
What do you think about the way in which “Dallas” handled the J.R. funeral, and did you see the Pam shocker coming? If you want to find out some more behind-the-scenes details about these last few episodes, you can do so here.

Actually, Cliff was the one that found Kristin in the pool while J.R. looked on from the balcony above.

It can’t be Christopher’s biological mom cause JR found her in the pool very much dead. She was Sue Ellens younger sister.

The comment was ‘ your mother ‘. Pam was not his biological mother. Bobby exclaimed, ‘Pam?!’ However, I have a feeling we’ll be meeting Christopher’s biological mother. Now THAT would be interesting. Pam showing up again would be dead boring. So says I. :)

The character of Pam could be played by someone else instead of Victoria Principal. Maybe she could be played by the one that played her in the Dallas episode where Cliff and April went looking for Pam and Cliff found her in the doctor’s office not wanting to go back home. And after Cliff left, Pam talked to the doctor about supposedly having about six months or whatever time left to live. She was played by another person.
She did OK playing Pam.

Most moved by the theme song, which was slowed down (not upbeat) as if in mourning…and JR walking through Southfork.
