‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Desiree Hartsock to officially succeed Emily Maynard

DesireeFor the past week or so, and really ever since “The Bachelor: The Women Tell All,” it has been more or less a sure thing that Desiree Hartsock was going to be named “The Bachelorette” for the new season. After all, she was the person who received an edit that was very much all about her future in love at the Chris Harrison-hosted special, and Sean Lowe himself even publicly endorsed her last week by saying that she would do a great job.

Now, it’s finally confirmed. During the “After the Final Rose” special Monday night, Chris revealed that it would be none other than Desiree Hartsock. She came out to a rousing round of applause at the very end of the show, and explained why she was ready to take on this gig. She was first and foremost shocked that this opportunity was there, and then she even became a little bit emotional.

Overall, there is a genuinely good reason for “Bachelorette” fans to be excited. Desiree is a bit like Sean in that she is serious about finding love, but at the same time has a pretty good sense of humor. The only real differences are that she actually works in the wedding dress industry, that she does not have the same sort of abs, and that her brother can be a loose cannon if put in the wrong situation.

What do you think about Desiree as “The Bachelorette,” and are you excited already to see the sort of guys that will end up trying to win her heart? If you want to see what sort of filming Desiree has done already for the show, you can do so over at the link here.
