‘Glee’ season 4: Music notes with Naya Rivera, Matthew Morrison

Naya RiveraSee what we did there? “Glee“? Music notes? Okay, we’ll stop. The purpose of this article is mostly to show you just how freakishly busy Naya River and Matthew Morrison have been over the past several weeks. Not only have they continued to film new episodes of the hit musical comedy, but they have also taken out plenty of time to work on their upcoming albums.

When it comes to Morrison, the actor has been hard at work for months on something that will be a little more in line with his Broadway performing history. After joining a label owned by Adam Levine, he and the Maroon 5 have reportedly been hitting the studio together just in the past couple of weeks. Not only that, but we have also learned that Morrison will be performing with the famed Boston Pops for a pair of shows on May 28 and 29. For more information, be sure to check out the link here.

As for Naya, she has been working on something that touches on some of her own myriad of musical of influences, which includes a little bit of pop mixed with some soul and jazz. There’s not a whole lot of information available about the disc yet, but she has been working on this extensively for quite a while now along with shooting new episodes of “Glee” … and was even doing work in the studio this week. As any good artist knows, it’s better to take the time to put out something great than rush into putting an unfinished product in the marketplace early.

Of course, we’ll have more on all things related to “Glee” music both on and off the show soon. If you want to know what the crew from New Directions (plus the New York City residents) will be performing on the “Guilty Pleasures” episode, you can find out right here.
