‘Supernatural’ season 8 video: Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and a Harlem Shake

Just when we thought that nothing else good could come out of the “Harlem Shake” meme that has been brewing for much of the past months, the gang from “Supernatural” has found a way to make it feel relevant all over again courtesy of the video below.

The video begins with Jared Padalecki standing next to the famous Winchester car while Jensen Ackles sort-of shakes his groove thing; then, things cut away and then get crazy. We still don’t really understand what the purpose is exactly of the Harlem Shake as a dance movement, but so long as it makes us laugh, we really can’t be upset about it, right? We just love the umbrella and some of the crazy costumes that are shown off here.

This video also can be seen as a pretty brilliant PR move for the show, as it came out just at a time in which reruns are currently airing and not many people in the mainstream would be otherwise talking about the show. Padalecki and Ackles have long been known to have a great sense of humor, so you can’t really be surprised to see them pull something like this. (Sadly, the distance from the camera for some of the other people in this video makes it a little bit more difficult to try and identify just who is who among the crew and other members of production.)
