‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8 spoilers: Barney and Robin honeymoon hints

Even though there is no new “How I Met Your Mother” season 8 episode airing on Monday night, it does still look like there is plenty of exciting stuff coming up for the CBS comedy … specifically when it comes to what is coming up for Barney and Robin a little bit further down the road.

According to a new report coming in via SpoilerTV, the upcoming 22nd episode of the season is going to carry with it the title of “Romeward Bound,” which certainly suggests as though our favorite couple could already be plotting out a potential honeymoon in one of the most romantic cities in the world. Rome certainly seems to be an exciting setting for the show, especially since it is something that could be easily emulated should the show ever decided to include any footage of some of the selected places that the couple visits. (It’s much easier to fake Italy on a sound stage than it would be a more tropical locale.)

Most of the tail end of this season is going to be pretty much all about the wedding; episode 21 will be Barney’s bachelor party, which also does open up the possibility that “Romeward Bound” could be Robin’s bachelorette celebration (though this feels as though it is a little bit far for a party to go). The final two episodes are almost surely to be about the wedding itself, and hopefully at that time we will have an opportunity to see just whether or not Ted actually meets the mother face to face before the end credits.
