‘Psych’ season 7, episode 2 preview: Shawn witnesses love of the worst kind
Out of the first three episodes of “Psych” season 7 that we’ve seen, the one airing on Wednesday night happens to be our favorite. Some of the negative energy from Henry Spencer being in the hospital has dissipated, and we’re back with a story that progresses the story forward, and while at the same time stays true to the show’s silly energy that we have come to expect.
First of all, the promo reveals some pretty interesting stuff: Gus has found himself a girlfriend online, and for the time being the two seem to be doing just fine. But is this woman secretly the killer, the accomplice of a killer, or someone else horrible? This has been Gus’ M.O. for much of the series, and we’re going to stay mum on that for the time being as to not spoil the surprise.
As for some other relationships, we have a feeling that Juliet is going to be feeling rather bummed-out at hearing Shawn say something wonderful in “I’m going to move in,” only to have it followed up with the words “with my dad.” We will also be witnessing the return of Shawn’s mother this week, and during Henry’s recovery he and his ex are going to rekindle a fire … and also do something that will scar Shawn for the rest of his life.
This episode is entitled “Juliet Takes a Luvvah,” and the reason for that is simple: she is going to be undercover in order to catch a man who is doing some very horrible things to women he meets online. Let’s hope that Shawn is not the jealous type … oh wait.
Be sure to come back to the site Tuesday, as we’ll have a few more specific scoops to share from the episode. Meanwhile, be sure to click here to read our review of the premiere.
