‘Boardwalk Empire’ season 4 spoilers: Ron Livingston to be series regular
Who knew that the Prohibition Era needed a little bit of “Office Space”? With production starting up soon on “Boardwalk Empire” season 4, the creative team behind the show is taking the casting process to the next level to ensure that they get everyone that they want signed up for a gig.
The latest example of this? Ron Livingston has signed up to be a new series regular on the HBO series, where he will be taking on the role of a wealthy businessman who arrives to New Jersey from out of town, and quickly starts up some sort of relationship with Gretchen Mol’s character of Gillian Darmody. There is not to much known about his role outside of this for the time being, but given his work in another network classic in “Band of Brothers,” we have to assume that everyone associated with the show has to be rather pleased with this. (He has also played parts on “Game Change” as well as “Sex and the City.”)
Meanwhile, Deadline is reporting that former “Hurt Locker” star Brian Geraghty has landed a recurring role on the show, and he will play a Prohibition agent with some shady motives by the name of Loren Knox. Like Livingston, Geraghty already has some experience with HBO after doing a similar sort of recurring role over on “True Blood.”
“Boardwalk Empire” season 4 will return to HBO in the fall, and with castings like these, it is hard to be anything other than tremendously excited.
