‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Smallville’ alum checks in as…

Hawaii Five-0Who wants to see a dose of Aquaman mixed into the world of “Hawaii Five-0”? If so, we have a story that will more than likely tickle your fancy right about now.

According to a new report from Zap2It, Alan Ritchson, who is best known for playing the famed superhero on the CW hit “Smallville,” is going to be coming on board the CBS procedural for an important part as a Navy SEAL, and one who has some major connections via the military to McGarrett. Specifically, he will be featured in a series of flashbacks that are going to be useful in helping to understand a little bit more of McGarrett’s past.

In addition to playing Aquaman (which for whatever reason will always ring “Entourage” in our head), Ritchson has appeared in a variety of other shows including “CSI: Miami” and “90210.” In addition to that, he has a role coming up in the “Hunger Games” sequel entitled “Catching Fire.”

“Hawaii Five-0” continues to be a consistent ratings warrior for CBS. Even though ratings have went down in season 3 in part thanks to competition from other series (in particular “Revolution” during the fall) and also the mere fact that ratings for most network shows continue to decline year-to-year. Nonetheless, there are still plenty of reasons to be excited about this series, including some more guest stars, nonstop action, and of course some especially important episodes coming up during the May sweeps.

Ultimately, what do you think about this casting? Be sure to share some more of your thoughts below, and you can also read some more scoop pertaining to “Firefly” alum Summer Glau by heading on over to the link here and checking out the latest scoop.
