Justin Timberlake to do week of shows with Jimmy Fallon after ‘Saturday Night Live’
Justin Timberlake is seemingly very interested in doing some promotional work with NBC right about now. We reported earlier this week that the “Suit & Tie” singer is going to hosting and performing on the March 9 edition of “Saturday Night Live” in order to prepare for his March 19 launch of “The 20/20 Experience.” Now, we’re hearing that he will also be spending a week with Jimmy Fallon.
Timberlake will be performing every night on “Late Night” from March 11-15, and hopefully is going to be bringing some of his trademark sense of humor along for the ride. Over the course of the past several years, the former boy band member has delivered constant entertainment in the form of his “History of Rap” performance, where he and Fallon perform a medley of the greatest hits of the genre ever while also going out into the audience and getting the crowd involved.
This announcement comes on the same day that Timberlake, fresh off of performances at the Grammys and at the BRIT Awards, announced that he will be embarking on a summer tour with Jay-Z, who collaborated with him on “Suit & Tie.”
As for Fallon, having Justin on his show is only going to be a ratings boost. While not everyone out there necessarily loves his music, his talents as a performer and comedian at times are pretty widely appreciated. Even if you are a not a fan, don’t worry: it’s only for a week, and then Fallon’s show will return as normal.
Are you excited to see what Justin ends up bringing to the “Late Night” world next month, and do you think this will lead to some better ratings for NBC? Be sure to share, as always, some more of your thoughts below.
