‘The X Factor’ USA notes: Fifth Harmony, Emblem3, Josh Krajcik

Fifth HarmonyTo the start of this “X Factor” USA notes, we feel no need to bury the lead here at all: Fifth Harmony is already in the studio doing some early work on their debut album. We may not know any details about the music, the recording process, or even the writers just yet, but the group is at least already working hard to get their debut off the ground.

The picture attached to this article is one of the first of the ladies from their Los Angeles recording studio, and we have to give the folks over at Epic Records and Syco some serious credit here for really not fooling around. If there was one huge mistake that they made with Melanie Amaro or some of the season 1 contestants, it was not really getting them in the studio early enough for them to release music while they are still relevant. Fifth Harmony is at least giving themselves a fighting chance by getting started just two months after the end of the show, and now much of their future will depend on both the quality of the songs along with the release window.

More Emblem3 tickets – Want a VIP seat in one of Emblem3’s upcoming shows in California? Well, you now have an opportunity to pick one up! If you visit the link here, you can upgrade your ticket from one of the group’s upcoming three shows to get such goodies as a signed photo of the group, a chance to meet Drew, Keaton, and Wesley, and also early entrance into the venue. Compared to some VIP packages out there, $75 is actually pretty reasonable. The tickets go on sale Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. Pacific time.

New music from Josh – Finally, let’s finish things off here with something new courtesy of season 1 runner-up Josh Krajcik. The former burrito-tosser is releasing his debut album “Blightly, Lonely, Lovely” (a bit reminiscent of the Savage Garden hit “Truly, Madly, Deeply”) on April 2, and the song below is called “No Better Loves,” and it sounds like a nice combination of John Mayer and the Foo Fighters. It’s a nice listen, the sort that you can just sit back and enjoy with your eyes closed.
