AMC’s ‘The Killing’ season 3 spoilers: Peter Sarsgaard cast as…
Even though “The Killing” may not longer have the services of the brilliant Brent Sexton or Michelle Forbes, they have done a heck of a fine job casting some replacements for the new season. We’ve already told you about some supremely talented child actors that are coming on board the show this year; and now, we’re going to have a chance to see a veteran of the big screen in his first major series role ever.
Sources are confirming that “Shattered Glass” actor Peter Sarsgaard has been cast for a role in Tom Seward that is described as follows by AMC: “a death row inmate for whom the clock is ticking down. A lifelong convict born into poverty and crime, Seward’s been in and out of the system for violent crimes since he was 10. Not ever wanting to appear weak, every interaction is a challenge, and one he must dominate.” This sounds like a pretty terrifying role, and the first time that a death row inmate has been featured prominently since Big Otto on “Sons of Anarchy.”
It was only a few months ago that “The Killing” was declared dead by its network after two polarizing seasons on the air, but it received a beyond-11th-hour reprieve after some lengthy negotiations. We weren’t quite sure that we would be excited about the prospect of this show continuing on after its original premise had run its course, but as it turns out, they have done such a stellar job with the casting thus far that we are intrigued.

Cannot wait for the show to begin. The last was super, only thought there was a bit drawn out, with two little detail on each episode. I considered the conclusion a good surprise. Thanks
