Grammys 2013: Carrie Underwood, Neil Patrick Harris among red-carpet highlights

GrammysThe 2013 Grammy red carpet promised to be rather interesting, and if there is one thing we would love to point out right away, it’s that very few stars really listened to the supposed mandate by CBS to dress a little bit more conservatively. There was a lot of skin that ended up all over the place, and you have to remember that most of these stars bought their outfits so far in advance that they surely weren’t going to change their plans based on some complaints by a network to be a little less racy so that people wouldn’t complain.

For this article, we’re going to do best to merely talk about the stars from our desired medium … largely because we really don’t know enough about the music industry to feel qualified to talk about great albums or trends moving forward. These TV stars were all featured on the E! red carpet show, and did offer up some interesting commentary.

Kathy Griffin – Kathy pulled her usual stunt of hitting on Ryan Seacrest, and also acted sad about losing the Best Comedy Album award yet again. There was also a pretty stunning fact shared by the comedienne that shows that something really needs to change for this awards show in the future: there have only been two winners of this award ever that are women.

LL Cool J – The rapper and “NCIS: Los Angeles” star promised to not be funny, which is a change for awards-show hosts; instead, his plan is to inspire.

Carrie Underwood – It was a reunion of Carrie with the “American Idol” host, but she really did not have much of anything new to say other than that she was so confident that Hunter Hayes is going to be a star that she is willing to actually open for him down the road.

Neil Patrick Harris – Joined by his partner David Burtka, Neil talked about “How I Met Your Mother” ending, saying that nine seasons was the right amount of time and he along with the rest of the cast are looking forward to getting the opportunity to do some other things moving forward.

If you want to find out what Ne-Yo had to say about the “X Factor” judging rumors while on the red carpet, you can do so over here.
