First, you were able to cross off Lance Armstrong and Lindsay Lohan as possible inclusions to the “Dancing with the Stars” cast this year. Now, you can do so the same exact thing with Katie Holmes … as if there was any doubt that she was going to say “no” to the prospect
This rumor was first circulated earlier this year by frequent rumor-started the National Enquirer, though it did not take particularly long at all to figure out that there was not very much truth to it. Their argument was that Holmes being on the show would be a great way to kick-start her career again following her divorce from Tom Cruise … but isn’t she already doing that courtesy of some of her new work on Broadway? Her dance experience (which included a live performance on “So You Think You Can Dance”) would probably give her the biggest unfair advantage in the history of the show, or at least since Nicole Scherzinger was passed off as someone who had no idea what she was doing.
In addition to all of this, “Dancing with the Stars” is not a show that is right now in the business of getting enormous names. With the ratings for the “All-Stars” season in the fall hitting lows, this seems to be something that is on the decline, and with that we anticipate producers having an enormously difficult time trying to find names that will actually generate discussion given that Ann Romney also said no. It’s physically demanding, and requires such a commitment that it is extremely hard to do other things while also taking part in the show.
Just in case you needed even further verification that this is not happening, a rep for the actress tells Gossip Cop that this is simply not happening, and that all talk otherwise is bogus.
