‘The X Factor’ USA / UK notes: Carly Rose Sonenclar, Janet Devlin, Emblem3

The X Factor LogoWe’re crossing coasts for this new edition of “The X Factor” notes, and we’re actually going to start off with something cool courtesy of one of our favorites artists to come out of the British version of the show: Janet Devlin. Since being on the 2011 edition under the guidance of then-judge Kelly Rowland Devlin has been fairly quiet since finishing the show, but one of the reasons for that is that she has been hard at work getting together some new music.

The video below features Devlin’s first recording session on her upcoming debut album, and her voice sounds just as original and unique as it did as the show. Hopefully, we’ll have many more of these two share throughout the year.

Carly Rose is … Speaking of writing new material, this is precisely what Carly Rose Sonenclar is choosing to do thanks to the snowstorm hampering both her and many other residents of the northeast United States.

For those of you looking for an update on Carly’s record deal, there’s still nothing official to report. The last we heard was from Carly herself at her recent parade, where she said that there were conversations between her camp and Simon Cowell’s record label Syco, but there is still time for the parties involved to make a decision.

Emblem3’s “reunion” – Be sure to check out the video below if you want a look at a major Valentine’s Day interview coming up between Emblem3 and some of their old chums at Young Hollywood. Based on what we’re seeing right now, it should be a good time for everyone involved.
