Meet Rowan Blanchard, the girl in ‘Girl Meets World’
Entertainment Weekly first reported the news of the 11-year old actress’ casting on Monday, and production on the pilot is expected to take place beginning in February. From there, the network will have to choose as to whether or not they want to pick the show up to series, and we have a feeling that they will based on sort of enthusiasm is out there already about the show.
Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel are of course going to be back reprising their old roles, and in addition to that, be sure to also expect some other familiar faces to turn up from time to time. Fishel said in a blog post last year that while this is a new show that will have new themes and stories, she and everyone involve wants to make sure that the spirit of the original “Boy Meets World” is still intact, and that original fans can enjoy it.
The earlier “Girl Meets World” could feasibly air on the Disney Channel is the fall, but it could be longer than that depending on how much time the producers want to spend ensuring that the characters and the story are perfect.
