NBC’s ‘The Office’ season 9 spoilers: Jim and Pam’s future, Andy’s return, and more
Do you want to find out just how Jim and Pam on “The Office” are going to eventually resolve the crisis they are in regarding Philadelphia? Don’t expect the fighting between the two to end at any point within the next couple of weeks, but as the show starts to move forward to the series finale in May, the picture should become a little bit clearer for one of TV’s favorite couples.
As a matter of fact, the episode entitled “Moving On” (airing on Valentine’s Day) gives us a pretty good idea just what the endgame for John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer is ultimately going to be. Not only that, but it also gives us an official return date for Ed Helms, who was written out of the show for a few weeks while he went and filmed much of “The Hangover Part III” elsewhere in Los Angeles:
“Pam (Jenna Fischer) interviews for a job in Philadelphia with a manager who gives her deja-vu. Dwight (Rainn Wilson) brings Angela (Angela Kinsey) with him on a mission to clean his elderly Aunt Shirley. Andy (Ed Helms) returns from his long boat voyage.”
So is it really fair that it is Pam who has to give up her job and life in Scranton for Jim? It’s a little difficult to judge based on just this description. What we are more curious to find out than anything else at the moment is just why Pam is feeling a little bit of deja-vu: does she run into a familiar face? Given that this is the show’s final season, we would not be surprise if a Todd Packer or a Karen Filippelli ends up re-entering the picture for just one week.
An eventual move by Pam would also give the documentary crew a justification to stop filming, mostly because the explanation we have really received for why they are still there in a post-Michael Scott world is to really follow the couple that started out as just two co-workers and friends back in season 1.
If you do want to know when we will see another appearance of Brian the Sound Guy on the show, be sure to check out the story here.
