2013 SAG Awards: Live stream the red carpet show here!

SAG AwardsAt 6:00 p.m. Eastern time, the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards will be officially upon us; and with that in mind, we’re going to be ready with a live stream of all of the festivities straight from Hollywood.

If you come back to this page at the time listed above, the stream below courtesy of the Associated Press will be up and running, and you can see everything from the fashion to celebrity interviews. The SAG Awards are in many ways the cream filling of the awards season sandwich: they come after the Golden Globes and before the Oscars, and they are often viewed as a pretty strong indicator for what the winners are ultimately going to be at the Academy Awards later on in February.

Since we are a TV site, expect all of the analysis here to be focused on the world of the small screen, whether it be individual winners, notable moments, and what the stars are saying and wearing on the red carpet. We wish we could say that this was one of the more surprising awards shows of the year; but alas, it is instead more predictable than any other. Expect to see “Homeland” and “Modern Family” win big across all categories, and without too much competition. This is a show that, after all, somehow managed to not even nominate the Golden Globe winner “Girls” in any of the major categories. Instead, we have “The Office” and “Glee” despite neither being particularly fantastic as of late.

The show will be airing on TNT in the United States, and on Global for our friends north of the border in Canada.
