‘The X Factor’ USA notes: Carly Rose Sonenclar and Cher Lloyd

X FactorIt’s not a particularly jam-packed day for “The X Factor” USA when it comes to the sheer number of headlines, but we still wanted to share a pair of stories that are coming out across the internet.

Let’s begin with the latest news from Carly Rose Sonenclar, who announced on her Facebook page Friday that she will be appearing for an interview on “The Saturday Cafe with Laura Smith” from 7:06 until 7:15 p.m. Eastern time on New York radio station 700 AM WABC. There’s no word yet on what will be discussed, but there is an option for those not in the New York area to listen to the show online by clicking here and finding the “listen live” button. It’s one of the best opportunities that we have had since the show ended to hear just what is going on within Carly’s world straight from the teen sensation herself.

Judging rumors – Yep, this is starting already. We don’t really know where this rumor about Cher Lloyd becoming a judge on either the American or British versions of the show is really even coming from, even though it is mentioned in this article.

Let’s try to make this clear: the odds are higher that Simon Cowell will sprout wings and take off on a cross-continental flight than Cher has of being a judge on either show, especially in America. Tulisa and Nicole Scherzinger are both great judges on the British show, and while the former failed to find much success with her solo album, it doesn’t take away the compassion that she has for some of her contestants. Meanwhile, Cher’s still making a name for herself in America; and while being a judge would be a great showcase of her personality, Simon seems desperate at the moment to have himself be the only Brit on the panel. (Remember what happened with Cheryl Cole?) It’s no slight on Cher, but she is still relatively new in the industry; and while Tulisa and Demi Lovato are both young, they had been a part of the music world for a good part of their childhood.

On a different note, Cher has just released the American version of her song “With Ur Love,” which features Juicy J in the bridge. As you may remember, Mike Posner was the featured in the original version of the song released in Great Britain over a year ago.
