‘American Idol’ reactions: Candice Glover, Jimmy Smith, more talk auditions

In continuing our post-show “American Idol” reactions this week, we bring you the latest from some of the contestants who auditioned for the show last night. In case you’re new to our page, here’s an explanation: given that you only have a few seconds to get to know these people watching them audition, we want to provide an opportunity for you to see what they think about watching themselves back on TV for the first time (at least for most of them). In addition to that, you can also click on any of their names to go over to their official Twitter accounts, that way you don’t have to scramble around trying to find your favorite singer … who could be on the show until the finale in May depending on where the votes fall.

With that being said, let’s get into this!

Candice Glover – “The east coast love and now the west! each of you r epic and I can’t wait to share this journey with you #candicanes lets go to Hollywood:).” In addition to this, Candice also receive a shout-out from Jasmine Sullivan during the show.

Brian Rittenberry – All he really did was say that he was “Hollywood bound.”

Jimmy Smith – “The outpouring of support has been incredible! So much love to you all! #TeamJimmy let’s build the army! :)”

Isabel Gonzales – “I’m off to bed, but thank you everyone for your kind words, they mean so much:)”

Summer Cunningham – “Y’all are all amazing :) thank you so much for the support. Keep it coming! Xoxo ;).” Despite being the focus of the Mariah Carey – Nicki Minaj blowup, Summer did not address this at all last night.

Janelle Arthur – “WOW I am just seriously in AWE of all the support and AMAZING tweets. Thank you SO much!!!! I love you all. XO”

Seretha Guinn – There’s no standout message here, but she did get a shoutout from none other than Kellie Pickler following her audition.
