Katherine Webb to join Drake Bell, Kendra Wilkinson on ABC celebrity diving show

Somehow, the reality diving competition one-off bombing over on Fox has not deterred ABC from moving forward with their own “Celebrity Diving,” or a show that really should be called instead “Diving with the Stars” for the sake of brand synergy. Then again, it’s also possible that they don’t want to associate any other franchise with their mainstay until they know how they are going to do first. (Remember “Skating with the Stars”? We hope not.)

Nonetheless, TMZ has obtained a list of the “stars” who are going to be taking part in this competition, and we will at least give them some credit for assembling what has to be one of the most random collections of people that we have seen on a show in some time.

Katherine Webb – The Miss Alabama mostly famous for being obsessively praised for a few seconds during the BCS Championship game by Brent Musburger (who we doubt will be watching after all the heat he took).

Ndamukong Suh – A Detroit Lions player obviously hoping to not be named the dirtiest player in celebrity diving.

Kareen Abdul-Jabbar – Seriously? One of the biggest legends in NBA history is doing this?

Louis Anderson – Seriously? The guy who used to host “Family Feud” is doing this?

Nicole Eggert – She was on “Baywatch.” Cue eye-roll already for her doing a water-sports competition to go along with the countless other reality shows she’s done.

Drake Bell – He was once famous for “Drake & Josh.” Now, he’s more known for hating on Justin Bieber.

Kendra Wilkinson – Hey, she’s already done “Dancing with the Stars,” so she had to move on to something.

Keshia Knight Pullman – She was on “The Cosby Show,” and we really don’t have anything funny to say here.

Chuy – What, could they not get Chelsea Handler?
