‘True Blood’ season 6 spoilers: Alexander Skarsgard, cast deep into filming

Alexander SkarsgardIn case you have not heard yet, filming for “True Blood” season 6 is finally underway. We were starting to hear some casting information prior to the start of the holidays, but production largely waited until 2013 to really get some of the more substantial work filming scenes off the ground.

So what further evidence do we have of this? Let’s just say that sources recently caught Eric Northman himself in Alexander Skarsgard walking around the set along with his co-star in Ryan Kwanten. The two actors are going to each once again have major roles on the show moving forward, as they are also going to have quite an exciting season coming up.

So what do we know for sure about the events ahead? We are going to see a new love interest for Sookie in a male fairy, and Eric is going to largely be preoccupied now with trying to deal with a new form of Bill Compton, who ascended to his bizarre vampire god form at the end of last season. Some of the new characters include the Governor of Louisiana, who has a major vendetta against vampires after his wife took off with one of them, along with some young activists who may find themselves in deeper water than they are really prepared for.

There is no firm premiere date for the HBO series just yet, but anticipate the ten episodes premiering at some point in June following the conclusion of “Game of Thrones” season 3. (It’s really the same sort of situation as we saw with the show last year.)
