Are you ready for some fun (and some drama) on Monday night’s new episode of “Castle” season 5? Based on what we are hearing right now from Darby Stanchfield, we are likely going to end up seeing a little bit of both as Castle’s ex-wife Meredith is going to resurface at one of the most inopportune times ever for Nathan Fillion’s character, as she tries to plant herself at his place while his girlfriend Beckett (Stana Katic) is also having to stay there.
So what does the star of “Scandal” have to say about the character resurfacing now, and how she tries to use a sick Alexis as an excuse to stick around? There’s always an ulterior motive with someone like Meredith, which is what Stanchfield explains in a new interview with Hollywood.com previewing the episode:
“Meredith stirs up a lot of trouble. The world’s her oyster; she kind of gets what she wants … She comes there with a full agenda, and by the time she leaves a whole ‘nother can of worms is opened.
“You get some Meredith/Beckett scenes — some substantial ones — so that’s going to be fun. It’s a little unpredictable.”
We also know that Meredith’s arrival will cause some trouble in the Castle / Beckett relationship, as she feels as though her boyfriend is not putting his foot down, especially when he has a habit of hooking back up with his exes after the fact. Do we think they will make it through this? Sure, but Castle’s going to have to learn a thing or two about being a better man in the process.
Stay tuned, as we are of course going to have more about this episode after it airs. If you want to watch some videos from the episode, you can do so over here.
