‘House of Lies’ season 2: Don Cheadle, Kristen Bell tease what lies ahead

Do you want to catch a quick glimpse at what is coming up on “House of Lies” season 2 prior to the show’s January 13 premiere? Luckily, Showtime has released a brand-new video that puts Kristen Bell and Don Cheadle front and center, and the two do a good job of at least setting up where things are going to be for their characters of Marty and Jeannie during the season premiere.

Of course, these two have a great deal of explaining to do almost right away, especially when it comes to the answer of one key question: did they sleep together during a night fueled by tequila? They don’t remember everything that happened, and some of their pals claim that there was a gap in time in which no one saw either one of them.

In addition to this, Marty, Jeannie, and everyone else at the company is going to face a number of other interesting new challenges, whether it be some new boss, some new gigs, or the constant slippery slope when it comes to being in a line of work that is ruthless to say the least.

The show certainly has high expectations to deliver following season 1 last year, especially after all the awards-show love Cheadle is receiving from first the Emmys and now the Golden Globes. If there is a little bit of irony here, it is that Cheadle may be finding out whether or not he won the trophy for Best Actor in a Comedy Series at the same exact time his show is on the air on the west coast. These are the sort of things that do happen, after all, when you have so many shows coming back in January in a short amount of time.
